Electrical Engineer I: Entry-level tasks in line design, substation design, system protection, and transmission/distribution planning. Responsibilities include technical inspections, analysis, and document preparation.
Electrical Engineer II: More advanced design, analysis, and project management, focusing on system protection and substation design. Supports regulatory compliance and manages small projects.
Electrical Engineer III: Leads design and analysis projects for transmission/distribution systems. Provides field support and ensures regulatory compliance while managing contracts and stakeholder communication.
Electrical Engineer Senior I: Leads advanced engineering work and projects. Manages budgets, resolves complex field issues, and mentors junior engineers.
Electrical Engineer Senior II: Leads complex projects, resolving difficult issues, and guiding multi-disciplinary teams. Mentors engineers and manages large-scale projects from planning to closeout.
Electrical Engineer I, II, III: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (EIT preferred for I).
Senior I, II: Bachelor’s degree, PE preferred.
Experience: Varies by position from entry-level (I) to 8+ years for Senior II. Relevant experience in substation, transmission, and distribution systems required.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industry codes (NESC, IEEE, NFPA, NERC).
Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., PLS-CADD, PowerWorld).
Regular sitting, occasional walking, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Frequent talking and visual near acuity.
Moderate noise levels.
Valid driver’s license required.
